The American Saddlebred, formerly known as the “Kentucky Saddler,” dates back to the time of the American Revolution. They are a naturally gaited breed, averaging 15 to 16 hands. Saddlebreds are known for their sense of presence and style, as well as their spirited yet gentle temperament. Hence earning them the title “peacock of the horse.”
